Primitive Early Prairie Spool Dolls Pattern

Spool Dolls -- Aren't these little prim gals just the cutest! They are made to go on old thread spools just like they had in the old days. I recently found one that was my grandmother's and have fallen in love with them. These little dolls are made to go on both large and small thread spools and they measure 4 1/2 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches tall. They stitch up very quickly and best of all they love to be made from scraps! I grabbed from my scrap pile to make these little dolls and used everything from quilt shop fabrics to an old bed sheet. You may choose to make them with or without faces and their little bonnets are just like the ones they used to wear long ago--only simplified just a tad and one of them even wears a very simple little prairie pocket. They make absoluetly darling little gifts for all your prim friends, neat little tuck ins for swaps or a thank you to a special customer and they are also a quick something to make up for shows and since they are quick and can use up scraps--more profit margin and they're just primitively cute!
