Sinter Klaas primitive Santa pattern
Through the stormy and winter nights you can see a lone figure riding in a sleigh pulled by eight friendly reindeer, it's Sinter Klaas. He is the bringer of wishes and treats. Every child dreams and waits in anticipation for that particular time of year when he will arrive at their door.
Sinter Klaas is made from waxed osnaburg. He has a needle-sculpted face. His sweet little mouth is embroidered on and his eyes are drawn with artist pencils. The lazy lids over the eyes are waxed osnaburg that has been stitched on. His beard, hair and eyebrows are needle felted on using sheep wool.
Sinter Klaas red suit is upholstery fabric trimmed in dyed warm and natural that is sewn on. He has painted and sanded hands and boots. His bag is burlap.
The pattern has the information/ directions for the waxed antiquing method and the chenille candy canes.
