Inspired by the season and my mother’s fondness for turkeys with their tail feathers down, I have created this folky bird along with an ear of Indian corn, the word “Plenty” and “1829”. Stitched to a rag stuffed pillow of wool and encircled by a homespun braid, it is the perfect size to set in an old child’s chair this Thanksgiving. 7”h x 8”w.
